A2B Haulage - AZ Float Driver

A2B Haulage, a part of the Arnott Group, is an aggregate, cargo and heavy equipment freight company located in Midhurst, Ontario. Our fleet consists of tri-axel dump trucks, flat deck, step deck and multi axel low boy equipment trailers. We are currently looking for a dynamic individual to join our team to operate an 8-axel lowboy set up, hauling oversize equipment.

AZ FLOAT DRIVER

Key responsibilities

• Load and unload various construction equipment and heavy equipment onto an 8-axel lowboy set up

• Float heavy construction equipment to various job sites

• Exhibit highest level of professionalism in all customer and civilian interactions

• Ensure compliance with applicable federal and MTO regulations, as well as company rules, standards and guidelines

Knowledge, skills and abilities

• Experience in a similar role including heavy haul and operation of all types of heavy equipment

• Valid AZ License required

• Ability to operate a variety of construction equipment in order to load and unload without assistance

• Possess an understanding of CVOR rules and regulations, including hours of service

• Experience with 18 speed manual transmission is required

• Experience with cargo securement is considered an asset

• Float or open deck experience is considered an asset

• Clean Driver’s abstract

• Ability to work with a flexible work schedule to travel locally as well as throughout Canada on short notice or outside of regular business hours
