We are looking to add an enthusiastic, customer focused, team player to our team as a Scale Attendant. The Scale Attendant will be responsible for the scaling of all trucks that enter the yard. The incumbent will be providing exceptional customer service to both internal and external customers. Scale Attendant

Key Responsibilities:

• Responsible for providing both internal and external customers with top tier customer service.

• Monitors trucks to ensure they are properly positioned on the scale for accurate readings.

• Inspects loads and speaks with drivers as required. Operates scale and enters load information into the computer system.

• Utilizes computer system to process proper charges to be assigned for each load, and generates charge tickets on printer.

• Responsible for daily data entry while ensuring accuracy and performs basic mathematical calculations.

• Maintains records of all incoming/outgoing loads and files records accordingly.

• Cross references driver’s paperwork and weight certificate information to ensure accuracy.

• Responsible for sorting and processing weight tickets on a daily basis.

• Maintains work area and equipment in a safe and clean condition at all times. Keeps the scales clean and free of debris.

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent.

• A minimum of 2 years of experience in a customer facing role.

• Must have a positive attitude and take initiative to assist the team.

• Excellent oral communication skills, with outstanding customer service skills.

• Ability to work cohesively with employees and managers as part of a team.

• Must have a willingness to learn and grow with our team.

• Knowledge of basic mathematical calculations.

• Detail-oriented with an ability to input data efficiently and accurately.
